How to get here:
Tamarindo is located just 1 hour from the Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport in Liberia Costa Rica (Airport Code LIR ). We always recommend flying to Liberia instead of San Jose because of the travel time and expense required to get here from San Jose. Once you arrive in Liberia you have the option of cab, rental car or shuttle to get you to Tamarindo. We use Tamarindo Transfers & Tours to get us to and from the airport. It’s $20 to $30 per person each way (depending on how many are on the shuttle, If no other passengers are on the shuttle it’s $60 for one person). The service is door to door so there’s no lugging your bags around town after they drop you off. Shuttles do not always run on every flight and there is no shuttle office in the airport so be sure to book the shuttle before you arrive!
